New novels by two great Australian authors
It has been an extraordinary year for quality Australian fiction, with some of the country’s finest writers (Kate Grenville, Kim Scott, Marion Halligan, Rosalie Ham, Anna Funder , Richard Flanagan and Garry Disher among them) appearing in our New Release section.
And the great books keep coming. This month, twice winner of the Miles Franklin award, Alex Miller, launches his latest novel, Autumn Laing, while Melbourne writer Elliot Perlman’s much-anticipated The Street Sweeper is already receiving enthusiastic praise from local and international reviewers. My Bookshop will be hosting events with both authors – Alex on October 11 and Elliot on November 9 – to celebrate the arrival of their new books. We are certain that our customers who relish strong storytelling and beautiful language will love these two books as we do, and we predict both will become bestsellers.
